CRAFTED FOR LIFE

Some say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but not when it comes to your furniture. Stores have swapped solid wood for composite materials and want you to believe it's the same, but we know better. Alamo Design Co designs and builds custom pieces from start to finish, engaging you in the process every step of the way.

For every piece we build, we throw away an Allen wrench.
You’re welcome.

MAKE IT YOURS

Let's build something so fine your kids will fight over it one day.

It all begins with a concept. If you know exactly what you want or you’re looking for creative input, we're here to bring your idea to life. Our approach is detailed and thoughtful as we strive to create pieces that are both aesthetic and functional.

Whether we’re building pieces to fit your space or starting with a blank canvas, Alamo Design collaborates with you to craft your vision down to the smallest of details, until it’s exactly what you hoped for.

And then you watch it come to life board by board, step by step, carefully crafted and refined into exactly what you envisioned.

By sharing the fabrication process with you, we hope to connect you with your investment in a novel way.

GABE TAVAREZ

Gabe Tavarez founded Alamo Design Co after spending years apprenticing in and later managing a local shop, relentlessly pursuing his craft. Inspired by midcentury design, Gabe incorporates iconic elements into much of his work, but draws satisfaction from creating pieces clients love, regardless of the style.

He enjoys problem solving, welcoming design challenges that allow him to step outside of his comfort zone and implement creative strategies. You’ll never find him cutting corners as every effort is guided by the philosophy that ‘good enough’ never is.

When he’s not in his shop, Gabe can usually be found wrasslin’ with his two rugrats, bugging his wife, or playing fetch with his dog.
